Congratulations to Mary Hannah (2nd from left), a first-year MDTP student in the Kalan Lab, on winning 2nd place in the Perlman Symposium poster contest! The Perlman Symposium on Antibiotic Discovery and Development highlights the medical aspects and microbiological research at UW-Madison. Mary Hannah has been working hard on comparing Corynebacteria genomes to characterize host-associated metabolic functions, and was able to present this work at the poster session which included graduate students from numerous UW-Madison departments.
